South Alabama women’s basketball falls late to ULM

South Alabama women’s basketball led 56-46 at the end of the 3rd quarter at Monroe Louisiana. The Warhawks went 7-0 run cutting the Jags lead to three. ULM then took the lead with 3 minutes left in the game. Then they took the lead for good with just over 2 minutes left. The final score Jaguars lose 69-65.

Kelsey Thompson poured in a career high with 27 points for the Jags. Thompson has scored in double figures for the seventh time this year. Zena Elias scored 10 points and 11 rebounds. Her second double double of her career.

ULM had 4 players score double digits.
Emma Meriweather 15 points 15 rebounds

Bre Sutton 15 points 5 rebounds

Kierra Brimzy 11 points 3 rebounds

Aasia Sam 10 points 5

The South Alabama women basketball record falls to 5-16 overall and just 1-9 in the Sun Belt. The Jags next game is Thursday February 4th at the Mitch versus James Madison game time 7pm
