How it happened…

The Jaguars got down early, once again. Georgia Southern would score one run in the third inning, and four runs in the fourth. The Jags trailed 5-0.

Then there were back to back singles by Micah Morgan and Hunter Donaldson, to load the bases with 1 out. Cole Ketzner would hit an RBI sac fly to right, scoring Sullivan on the play. South Alabama would finally get on the board, trailing 5-1. Orbeta would hit into a fielders choice for out three.

In the top of the sixth, the Jaguars would come storming back. Austin Thrasher reached on a throwing error by the 3rd baseman, bringing up Will Turner. On the first pitch, Turner singled to center. Trey Lewis grounded out to first, advancing the runners to second and third. Bell would ground out to shortstop, picking up the RBI as Thrasher scored. Jags trailed 5-2, as Sullivan stepped up to the plate. “Sully” would smack the 1-1 pitch to right center field for a two run home run. The Jags have clawed back in to the game trailing 5-4. Morgan would ground out next to end the inning.

Unfortunately that’s as close as the Jaguars would get. The final score 5-4.
